Secret Location

July 12, 2018

Missed me?

I know I haven't wrote a post in quite some time and I do apologize, but I have a good reason I promise.

My life has been a bit all over the place these past weeks because first I got a new job, and second I am in the process of moving from my uncle's comfortable and splendid Condo to my very own place.

Well, not exactly.

I will be sharing this brand-new Condo with Tammy and her tiny dog, Charlie.

I am tremendously excited if you ask me! Like a kid in a candy store.

Anyhow, this post isn't about me moving, since it is only happening this upcoming Friday.

This post is in fact about this charming, lovely and off the chain clothing store I came across while walking the streets of Gastown.

Gastown reminds me of Old Port in Montreal. It's Victorian atmosphere and its cobble-stoned streets, small European cafes and restaurants, various shops as well as its British-European architectural vibe makes it an enjoyable and relaxing walk with friends, family, lover or simply by yourself.

Yesterday, after work, I didn't feel like going home just yet, sun was finally out so I thought why not stroll around Gastown for a bit. Maybe grab a chia latte or a quick bite.
Then, this amazing thought came into my mind. Get myself a little green friend for my new room. Green as in a non-medicinal plant, of course!

Since I don't have time for a dog, I thought why not get a plant. It is easy to maintain, less messy and a lot quieter.

After finding my new friend, Boris. It was time for some window-shopping.
I came across this store named Secret Location.

And by the look of it I knew I had to snuck in and take a quick sneak peek.

As soon as I walked in, I was captivated by the way everything was arranged and display.

The place was a lot more spacious and open than I imagined.

This gentleman soon came over and explained that the owner of the shop strongly believes in sustainability. She is not only heavily invested in how things are source but a supporter of ethical and responsible production and craftsmanship, which I believe is fantastic!

A lot of you might not know but I am very meticulous when it comes to clothes, shoes and accessories. Over the years, my eyes have become more and more attracted to specific design, textile, material, color, and feels. My sense of style is influenced by my mood and day-to-day experiences.

I usually keep it very simple and in the tone of grey, black, white, beige, navy blue, green, brown. Red sometimes but rarely.

From the exquisite hand-made silk to classic or extravagant style, the store has it all. It carries various brands like GCDS, House of Holland, ETQ, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chanel Vintage, North Skull, Astrid Andersen, A-Lab Milano, For Restless Sleepers, and much more...
What do you think about this jacket?

Unique, isn't it?

This English brand is called House of Holland.

Right now, House of Holland's latest collection is associated with the Albert Kennedy Trust. A LGBT youth homelessness charity who helps young adults in pursuit of their own happiness and independence.

I myself have friends and family who are associated with the LGBT community; sincerely, it is great to see such a brand involve with the community and helping our young generation to be proud of who they are and not be scare of showing their true color. No matter the sex, color, religions, or ethnicity. We all have a unique gift to touch people and to affect people; use it and pull someone else up!

You can find out more about the charity here www.akt.org.uk

Just to add to your window-shopping list.

This little European feel shop is definitely worth a stop.
