Happiness In Every Bowl

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! How many times did your parents, coach, friends or doctor told you this? Probably a million times, right?

That goes without saying that I myself had the bad habit of skipping breakfast every morning and go straight for a run or workout.

You probably wonder how an athlete can do hours of training without anything in their stomach. Well, that's simple we can't! First, it is not healthy, and second it is dangerous. So please, don't do it!

But that is all in the past because good news I have my smoothie bowl recipe.

As you can see, "Açaï Bowls" have taken the world by storm.

It is the newly, trendy, on-the go and healthy  Instagram like sensation.

It is for good reason. They're exotically delicious and filling!




You can start it with frozen fruits, Greek yogurt, Açaï powder or fresh fruits from your local farmer store.



Lately, I have been using plain natural Oikos Greek yogurt as a base to give my bowl a more creamy and rich taste. Just like ice cream!

Once you choose your base the rest is just easy peasy.

Now it's time to play with the toppings. Make it mouthwatering by adding some colors. Don't be shy!


Strawberries, kiwis, mangos, peaches, dragon fruits, pineapples, and blueberries for a pretty little fresh look.

And top it with some granola, almond, chia seed, dark chocolate, peanut butter, coconut, dry cranberries, nuts, and whatever you like.

Have fun with it!




And for the last touch, I usually like to add a coulis of maple syrup (Canadian's best).

It's your choice! Make it your own.
