It's an Airbnb thing

I got a new post guys!

Here is the story of two LA guys visiting Taiwan and this random goofy and cool half Taiwanese girl. Yes, you read that right! I said goofy and cool!

It all started when she decided to create an account on Airbnb. She felt lonely living in a 2 rooms apartment by herself, so she thought that Airbnb could be the perfect way to meet people and help the world’s traveler. So, she did just that!

One day, she received an email from these guys name JR and Nacpil requesting a week stay for 2 people. Happy to finally have a request, she quickly messaged him back asking usual questions like: “How are you?” and “Where are you guys from?” nothing out of the ordinary. She just wanted to make sure they were normal, cool, fun and not creepy people at all. I mean, she was still a girl leaving on her own which I think is totally understandable. I must tell you she is a smart half Taiwanese girl.

So, after exchanging few messages, she sort of based her decision on the vibe they were giving but little did JR know what decision smart Taiwanese girl had decided. So, he started freaking out. He really wanted to stay at this cool girl’s house, so he started giving out his Facebook page, Instagram and even LinkedIn account that put her in tears laughing. LinkedIn account, seriously JR?!! The moment he through his LinkedIn account in the conversation she could not stop laughing and finally told him that she would be more than happy to have them stay with her.

It’s been a year since they first met and here they are meeting again but this time, in Vancouver, Canada. How crazy is that! They kept in touch all this time, and it wasn’t through JR’s LinkedIn account, haha!

Their reunion started on this lovely Sunday morning at this fantastic brunch place in Gastown name, “The Flying Pig.” Sipping on mimosa, cracking up jokes and reminiscing on some Taiwan moments were just the perfect way to start their day. After few hours of laughter, they decided to walk around a bit and came across a “Give back to the community” event. It felt good to see people involved in the public projects and giving back to the community.

JR calls himself a seagan (whatever that means), Nacpil head shot is just awesome & JESUS (new LA friend) who's probably playing fortnite on his phone.
It would be rude not to order their fantastic Mango mimosa, especially on this beautiful sunny Sunday morning! Don't you think?

Then, they decided to enjoy the sun and bike around Stanley Park and English Bay. They only had few hours to explore but the natural beauty of the park, its surrounding mountain’s view and the beach were enough for them to enjoy. The ride took a bit longer than expected since JR was having a photo-shoot session for his Instagram. You know the saying: “Do it for the gram!” Well, he is the perfect example! After all the biking, they ended their day with some typical Asian food, beer and few more laughs. And as the sun came down, it was time to say goodbye but none of them really wanted to leave so they just agree on a, ''See you later!''

Want a ride? I swear she's a good driver!

Guilty! They all ended up doing a photoshoot. What's that other saying? ''If there's no pictures, it didn't happen?''

And here comes the photoshoot. Looking all professional with the poses and angles. Actually on this one, JR was the photographer and Nacpil the poser.
And that’s how a friendship was born between 2 guys (now 3) from LA and this Half Taiwanese girl.

The photographer aka Nacpil. The goofy, cool half Taiwanese girl, and JR.

This pretty much sums up their friendship.

Shall LA be their next reunion spot? What do you think guys?

Please don't be shy and leave me some comments or questions. I'll be more than happy to answer! I don't bite.

To be continued...
